MIA'S LAST DAY OF PRE-K

Friday night was their year-end program. All of the kids (from the toddlers to Kindergarten) had a part. They sang, danced, and performed their gymnastics routines for us. It was a great production, and I'm amazed at how well they retained all of the words to the songs, the dance routines, etc. Mia and her class were especially cute doing a dance in their pj's... sorry I don't have any still pics of that - all my energy was focused on the video camera. =T The program ended about 7pm, and we finally got home around 7:45... perfect for some late night pizza and a couple rousing games of Chutes & Ladders!!!
Let's see, I should mention that at age 4, Mia reads, writes, spells, and does simple addition. She has mastered the ability to write her numbers up to 100 and continues to show promise in her creative arts (drawing and coloring especially). Mia enjoys singing to her favorite Disney Princess songs, but doesn't mind a little Kelly Clarkson from time to time. She loves to read her "Dick and Jane" book to her brother, Jacob, and is starting to find the range on how far she can push mommy and daddy. ;) From time to time she would rather do the opposite of what we ask her to do, but for the most part she is compliant. Mia is bright and sensitive, always thinking about something, but would rather be doing something. Her progress in all things continues to ramp up, and we expect a lot more wonderful news to report in her development for years to come!
